A LITTLE NOTE FROM TEFLIN SEMINAR 2012 : 6-8 November 2012
There are so many things I learnt from the seminar. Among them, two things even gave me special unforgettable impressions:
First, I dunno why it's the most relaxed presentation I've ever had (this means I feel that my classroom presentation is much more heavier...:(( ).
Second, the last day, when I got out of the lift on the ground floor (everyone was ready to go home), a young lady ( native speaker from RELO & one of the TEFLIN parallel speaker) came to me and said: Thank you very much for the presentation, I will try to use it in my class." ...... For a few seconds I didn't know what to say. I was really really 1000x surprised....for the great, sincere unexpected appreciation...from a native speaker who attended my 'first', imperfect TEFLIN presentation.... (now I know why I sometimes dislike my own culture...). That moment had really gave me a very special deep impression and more insights about culture and motivation. So through this note, I would like to express my special GREAT THANKS TO CHRISTINE LEWIS... May God Bless You forever for the kindness and positive energy and feelings that you radiate. That's one of great lessons in my life.
The last... this event really provokes my forgotten 'writing spirit' again.... YESS I WILL try to FINISH MY long-forgotten and DELAYED novel..art book, gaming book, and songs for children......as soon as possible... !!!!
Lho... koq ga ada hub nya ama bahasa Inggris n teaching ya... hahaha... No prob.. yg penting those are my big interests I can't deny and I can't resist... (keknya salah ambil jurusan nihhh ..wkwkwk ..)

Our culture is our culture, Nur, which sometimes gives us no space to appreciate other's success or bright ideas as you have had then. Congratulations, Nur. Move on..
ReplyDeleteSorry..to avoid misinterpretation,the point i'm going to convey is more on 'the neglected self efficacy' (dealing with individual 'culture') as we have learnt in leadership context....
ReplyDeleteit also reminds me again about 'THE SECRET', LOA, that suggest us to thank ourselves everyday....
